We’ve recently purchased a new company and we’re having some problems in setting it up. We have also just upgraded to version 7.1 2013-12-05
We have:
Open Company Settings
Entered the next number under ‘Code’
Entered the Company Name
Entered the short name
Entered the TCP/IP number
Entered the Port number
This has been done on the server. When we try to access this from the client to set up a chart of accounts, it says ‘That company doesn’t exist on the Server’.
What are we doing wrong?

Hello,
It appears that even though you state that you have created the new company on the server, it was most likely done in client server mode.
It is required to create new companies either in Standalone mode or Admin Client mode.
Standalone mode would be stopping the HansaWorld service, and logging on the live database from the server and repeat the steps you have stated above.
Admin Client mode would mean that you need to have all users logged off, and you would connect to the server from your client machine, enabling the Admin Client mode via module Technics>> Registers>> Program Mode>> Operations>> Admin Client.
Then follow the steps you stated above.
After adding the company, it is required that you go back to Normal Client via Technics>> Registers>> Program Mode>> Operations>> Normal Client
