HANSA connections

Good day,

In Cummins Inc., the subsidiaries in Bolivia and Uruguay are using HANSA ERP. Since last HANSA upgrade the users has a lot of issues to login in.

In order to discard any network issue, please could you answer this questions:

Is the HANSA client trying to connect to:
Name: ec2-54-228-222-177.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com
Address: 54.228.222.177 ??

We detected that in the hansa.log file in the user machine:

If this connection is not successful, could the client access HANSA?


I'd really appreciate your answer, because the local partner cannot answer the above.

Hello Maria,
That part of the log and IP address provided, refers to a Web request to an HansaWorld internal server.
It's not a critical server and, even if offline, you won't have any kind of issue.

Can you please provide more information about the problem that you are facing?
Is the problem related only to login or during the normal use as well?

The problem is related to login and also during the normal use once that the user has been logged in.

In the attached file I detailed the problems we are facing since several months ago, more precisely since HANSA version update.

I'd really appreciate your help.

Hello,

1. Problems with server speed were occurring a week before the last. By now they are solved. But it was possible that your server was affected by those problems (I am referring to the message "No response from network").

2. The problem about user logging in is that one of the name users you have does not have a mailbox. As soon as that user logs in, all other users are prevented from logging in. You can solve this issue by running Person List report in System module. If you have more than 1 company, tick the Include All Companies checkbox. Find a person that is a Named user and does NOT have the mailbox. Create a mailbox for that user from System>>Registers>>Persons>>highlight the person record>>Create>>Mailbox

3. Please provide your customer code. You can find it in System>>Settings>>Internet Enablers setting
