(1)    In System>>Settings there is a routine called "Conversions - Contacts". This will allow you to set up a table of OLD (Existing) and NEW contact codes.

(2)    Once this has been setup, go to Settings>>Conversions - Master, and tick ON "Convert Contacts"

(3)    Then do a text backup of your database, remove the existing HANSA.HDB and build a new database by importing the text backup.

All records with the OLD contact code will be changed to the NEW contact code during the import process. This includes all history. etc.

(4)    Afterwards, remember to tick OFF "Convert Contacts" in Settings>>Conversions - Master, otherwise the system will do a conversion lookup every time you do a text backup and import.

(5)    It is probably also a good idea to clear out the "Conversions - Contacts" setting as well.

Please note that this same procedure applies to any conversion routine available in System>>Settings.
