Moving Standard ERP to a new computer

We have Standard ERP, single-user installation on a Mac OS, with three companies registered.

We need to move it to another computer with a new operating system: Mac OS 10.12.2.

We have downloaded Standard ERP 2017-01-08, Version: 83240008 for Mac OS X, Country: Sweden, and followed the instructions in the online user manual.

We created a new database with a Databastextbackup from the present installation.


After opening the new installation and retrieving the enabler key (Hämta databasnyckel), we initially got the error message: Fler icke-konsoliderade företag än tillåtet. Programmet är nu i begränsat läge.

We adjusted the settings for Företagstyp under Företagsdata to match what we had in the previous installation:
Företag 1: Fleranvändare
Företag 2: Enanvändare
Företag 3: Enanvändare

Now when we retrieve the enabler key, it says: Databasnyckel har mottagits på ett korrekt sätt.

The names of the 3 companies are visible in the main menu, but there is no data in them at all when they are opened. What do we need to do to make this new installation functional?

Hello Nila,

The easiest way to install a new client is to log in to your account on http://mystandard.hansaworld.com and click on the Connect button. That will allow you to download a client that is setup according to your server settings. When that is downloaded you can just log in like normal and you should be able to see all your data.

I do not know what my Standard ID and password are, but I checked on the forum and found your answer regarding the ID on 2017-01-03. We do not have any persons registered in System -> Register -> Personer, however I found an e-mail address in System, avancerat -> Register -> Global Users which I presumed might work. Not having a password, I requested a new one and received an e-mail to my address which I used to reset the password. Then I logged in to My Standard. But it seems to be as empty as our new installation of Standard ERP. There is no company there. So I am presuming my ID and password are not the right ones. Can you please enlighten me?

Hello again Nila,

I can see now that you do not have a cloud node installed which is the reason why you cannot see your company on My Standard. In this case I recommend that you export a new database text backup from your old computer and reinstall Standard ERP on the new one and then try to import the backup again. It is possible that some error occurred while you tried to export or import the backup. I also recommend that you download the absolute newest version of 8.3 from 2017-01-25 while you are at it which contains a few fixes that aren't available on the version from 2017-01-08. You can find it at www.standardinstall.com
