New Standard app downloaded

Good morning Simone

Thank you for your patience, which makes me even more sorry to 'disturb' you again!

I have just eliminated the 'old' version of Standard Accounts, as you suggested, and downloaded the latest version this morning.

However, when trying to open, I get an advise 'photo' of which I attach,
and then the application closes.


Have you any further advice for me.

I wonder if you have received my message and question as to the 'warning'
I get, when trying to open the newly downloaded Standard Accounts, which says:
"Alert journal exists, can't create database"

Hi Toger

This message means that you had the journalling feature switched on at some point in your old version. The new version is complaining that the old journal file is there. I don't know whether you have MacOS or Windows, so I don't know how you would search, but the file you are looking for will have the extension .HJN, and will start with a J followed by a number. For example, J0000001.HJN. If you find the journal file, remove or rename it, and then try to launch Standard Accounts again.

Hi Toger

The journal file you are looking for will be inside the file "Standard Accounts.hdf". You need to right-click on this and select "Show package contents". From there you should see a folder called "Journal". You can either delete/rename this folder, or delete/rename the journal file inside the folder.

How to find Standard Accounts.hdf:

If your Standard Accounts application is in you applications folder, then to find the "StandardAccounts.hdf" file you do the following:

Open FInder > Select "Go" from the task bar > Hold down the option key > a folder called library will appear when you press option. Select Library.
Go to:
Application Support > HansaWorld
You will then see Standard Accounts.hdf


If your Standard Account application is saved in a folder that is not Application, the Standard accounts.hdf file is found in the same folder as the Standard Accounts application.
