Hello

We would like to convert Old Item codes to a new Item code
Am I correct in assuming that I need to generate the new item code and the conversion just means that the information and history of that code is transferred and you will no longer be able to see the item

Here is a bit more detailed information about Item Conversions:
Conversions - Items settings can be used to change the Item Number of a Item record. For example, Item Number "10101" can be changed to "10102", and all transactions such as Quotations, Orders, Invoices, Deliveries and Goods Receipts will be changed as well.
All the records, including Item record will contain the new code after conversion and old code won't exist anywhere.
