Cannot open Standard Accounts anymore

I have discovered the same problem for 2 companies on
2 different computers.

Among others the following text appears with Alert signs:

DFSectorRead DiskPtr 2199023255040 is outside
logical file (ends at 8991744)

Caution. The database might be damaged. If you
have tried a normal backup and that failed, we
suggest you choose to create and save a raw data
export from the next dialoque box.

IniFind!Key failed

IniIndexStore failed

/Users/build/c85-2019-04-15-build/amain/
d4index.cpp.2134 assertion failed: FindIndexHead
failed

-----

I have tried to download a new programme and then
import the database text backup, but with no luck.

Now it says:

Alert. Incopatible version of database found. Can’t
proceed: exe 8530 db 8318.

Hello Anne,

Did you install the new version in a separate folder on the desktop or did you put it in the applications folder? If the latter, please try again and put it in a new folder on the desktop. Otherwise the database might conflict with your old installation.

The possible conflict is with the application folder if you're using MAC.

Before installing there, you should check no old versions are there, AND also delete Hansaworld folder (com.hansaworld.stacc.xxxx.xx )from containers if there is such.

To see containers you can follow this guide or google on " how to find containers in mac"

With either the desktop or a Finder window as the frontmost application, hold down the option key and select the Go menu.
The Library folder will be listed as one of the items in the Go menu.
Select Library and a Finder window will open showing the contents of the Library folder.
If you close the Library folder's Finder window, the folder will once again be hidden from view.

I would just advise to install fresh copy to desktop, and launch from there. Locate the TB.TXT of the previous installation (found in HDB).

Best regards,

Company name is Klint Bergh Filial DK, and I imported the backup under system - import.

The other company (run on another computer) is Klint Bergh Konsult AB, and here Standard Accounts

does not open but disappears from the screen.

Dear Thomas

Thanks very much - now I can open Standard Accounts and import company text backup.
But - unfortunately my settings and accounts collide with Standard Accounts predefined accounts
and settings (balance sheet / profit & loss)

I enclose my systemdata and hope you can tell me how to delete your accounts so I only use mine
which I have done since I started using Hansa back in 1994! 25 years, when I think of it!

Best regards Anne

hello again,

First of all, you should check if you have local or cloud installation:

See attached screenshot

If it is using hosting center:
My suggestion is to use MyStandard for importing backup - this process is more stable than importing directly through the client. I assume that you already have a server created with some data in it.

You should be able to access it using the StandardID login of the first user in the system.
Otherwise, please provide the customer code (you can see that in Marketplace>>Account Details) and we will add the access to the specified company for your StandardID.

Then, you can attach your backup to the forum post (it will not be accessible to outside users, only internal HansaWorld employees) and we will upload it to your server in MyStandard portal.

Finally, you will be able to import the backup through MyStandard>>List of Backups>>Selecting the uploaded backup>>Selecting "Reset to Backup".

If it's local installation:
Mac: go to Standard accounts folder, rename standard accounts.hdb to standard accounts.hdb2
find a file Standard Accounts>>Right-click on the file>>Select Show Package Contents>>content>>resources>>you will find default.txt, STDCOA.TXT, delete those 2 files (they contain presetup data), Also delete those two files from GBR folder or your country specific folder.

Next, start up Standard accounts, then system>>imports>>import backup. and if needed additional import of your setup files.

Dear Tomas

Thank you very much for your thorough answer to my problems.
Now I understand why the ‘Backup’ possibility does not show - both my companies now have the cloud installation.

Unfortunately the cloud solution is not very smart to me - I very often do the accounting in our cottage - and here we literally speaking have no internet connection.

Would it be possible for you to give me a link to a program with a local installation as I had before, and then I can remove the preset data as you described.

I hope you can help with that - and thank you in advance.

Best regards
Anne

Hello,

If you wish to have a local installation, just install the same package, just, before installing, switch of the internet of the computer. Than Standard accounts will install locally on your machine.
