How do we change the serial number of an item that has been exchanged?

If an item with a serial number is exchanged, then you should create a Goods Return for the item and include the Serial Number. This will now remove the item from your inventory. When you receive a new item (an exchange for the item returned) you will create a new Goods Receipt and input this item's new Serial Number.
