Closing of Sales Orders from different location

Hi Support team,

We have 2 locations namely Loc 1 and Loc 2.

A customer paid down a deposit to order a special item, where the Manager made a new item and accepted the deposit in Loc 1.

Now the item has come into the warehouse and has been entered through Purchase Order and Goods Receipt into the Warehouse and the product has been moved to Loc 1 through Inventory Movement.

Now the same customer calls today and says that he cannot come to Loc 1 and he would like to pickup the unit from Loc 2.

I understand that as the item is available at Loc 1 the Sales Order cannot be closed in Loc 2, but if I move that product from Loc 1 to Loc 2 through Inventory Movement still the system does not allow to close the Sales Order as initially the Sales Order was made in Loc 1 and we are trying to close the same Sales Order in Loc 2.

Is there a way of closing the Sales order made in one location and closing it into an invoice in the next location even if the product can be made available into that location through inventory movement.

Your help in this regard shall be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Hello,

You may consider issuing a credit memo against the down payment the customer has presented. From there, you can delete the record of the sales order in Loc.1 and create the new sales order in loc.2 with the item in loc.2 and proceed accordingly.
