Hi,
We have 2 locations and 1 Warehouse. Our practice at our organization is that the Goods Receipt is done at the Warehouse and then the products are distributed to the other 2 locations.
Now as the other 2 locations are Retail Locations and is busy all the time. When the stocks are moved from the Warehouse to Location the Managers of that store cannot start selling the products unless and until they are received and Saved in the Inventory Movement, which I think is a good practice as not to have any inventory errors.
Now my question to the above discussion is as I mentioned the locations are busy and as soon as the merchandise lands to the location, it sometimes happens that 1 particular line of product is needed URGENTLY. Is there a possibility in HW that particular line can be counted and saved and the rest of the merchandise can be counted later when the traffic slows down.
As at the moment the system does not allow to sell unless and until all the items are counted and marked as RECEIVED in the inventory movement.
Please advice as to what is the solution to the above situation.

Hello,
The system will not allow for a particular line (item) to be counted & saved from a stock movement which contains other items. You will have to follow the process as it is.
With that in mind, if you know that a particular item has such an urgent status, you could create a separate stock movement with only that particular item. This way, when the item (and stock movement) is received, you can count, save, and sell it immediately, then come back when the location is less busy to count and save the other created stock movements.
