We are on Enterprise 6.3 2012-03-13

I'm trying to import purchase orders into Hansa Enterprise with the overwrite switch set in the import file i.e. the header reads 1 46 1 1....
However, existing purchase orders are not being overwritten, new ones are created but amendments to existing purchase orders do not import and overwrite the purchase orders already in Hansa.
Can you tell me why please and how we may get the file to overwrite existing orders?
