No response from network errors

Dear Support,

Some users are experiencing the message "No response from network" and the time to recover varies from 10 seconds to over 30secs. The user then force closes the app if it's taking to long.

It appears to happen more often when the user is working in another company. Does that have any relevance?

Hello Dil,

is this happening in only specific computers or it happens to any computer in your company?

Hello Support,

I think it can happen to any but mostly it is the same small group that report it to me. Probably because they get the message almost daily and sometimes 3/4 times a day.

Kind regards

Hello Dil,

Please, observe the following:

do the people experiencing the problem have anything in common - i.e. they work in the same company at the time of breakdown? or they work in the same local network, and possibly - different network as others who don't face it?

You can also ask the users if they get this information during the active work in the system or when they do other tasks. In most installations the client will log off itself when idle. Check: module System>>Settings>>Optional features>>Idle client timeout (minutes).

This issue could also be caused by network connection breakdowns, either losing the network or the server. You can test if the connection is not broken by running the ping command from those computers (pinging the server i.e.) and check the result at the times the connection is lost.

If those ideas will not help, please, return to us with as much detail as possible.

Best regards,
HansaWorld Support
