SQL Shadowing for Mac OS
2013-11-08
For a long time I am looking for methods of data exchange between Hansa Enterprise and FileMaker database applications. For me, this is a big problem. I know only one method of reading data from Hansa – SQL Shadowing. (Are there any other methods?)

My Hansa Server and FileMaker Server are running on Mac OS.

I found this old description of the configuration:
I can connect Hansa with MS SQL Server Express using ODBC. There is also an option "Oracle" is added to Hansa Enterprise 7.0. In theory this is great but it requires MS Windows.

At this point, I have a two questions:

1) On Mac OS I can install MySQL database and ODBC driver. I can also configure own DSN. (Exactly the same as under MS Windows). Is it possible to get connected Hansa Enterprise with a MySQL database - on Mac OS? (This is my main problem.)

2) Is there a possibility to connect Hansa Server with SQL database installed on another computer?

PS. I posted this questions in Polish version of this forum. Unfortunately, no one answered.
