Upgrade to Standard Accounts 8.4

Hi

I'm trying to upgrade from Hansa First Office 3.9 to Hansa Standard Accounts 8.4.

I've successfully downloaded and installed the Standard Account software from your web site following the tutorial instructions.

When I open Standard Accounts Navigation window none of the icons under the headings Welcome to Standard Accounts, Company and Routines: System are showing, so I can't import my backup or enter any other information.

If you could give me any information on how to overcome this problem I would be very grateful?

Kind regards

Graham

Hello Graham,

Hope this finds you well.

According to the information you have sent over, it looks like you are running an older version of Mac Os. From what I can see you are running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, is this correct?

I would highly recommend you to upgrade your OS to the latest version e.g macOS High Sierra. After the upgrade has been completed, you should remove the Standard accounts.hdf file from the folder on your desktop. After strandard accounts.hdf has been removed, start the app again, and do the import process as the tutorial instructions explains.

Kind regards,

Ester

Hello Graham.

Thank you for your message.

When you installed Standard Accounts, did you have access to internet?
Sometimes there can be issues occurring if you install Standard Accounts while not having access to internet.

Please try and restart Standard Accounts again and see if it works better.

From what country do you operate your business?

May i please ask for your company name and customer number as well?

Thank you.

Hello.

As you inform us that you are using Mac, it is important that you put the new client in a newly created folder for instance on your desktop, as putting another Standard Accounts in "Application" folder if you already have Standard Accounts/FO there, it will create a conflict.

Please make sure that you download the new Standard Accounts from https://standard-accounts.com/eng/accounts

Try doing that one more time and follow up with us how it goes.

Thank you.

Hi Per

I re-downloaded a new version of Standard Accounts from your web site into a newly created desktop folder, tried to open the Standard Accounts application from the folder, the application would not open, error message appeared, which I have attached. restarted the machine and repeated procedure still had the problem.

The previous download of Standard Accounts still opens from another folder i created on the desktop but still has the original problem of missing icons.

Kind regards

Graham

Hi Ester

Thank you for the recommendation which I will follow.

I was trying to upgrade my old applications such as First Office 3.9 which will only run on Power PC format, before upgrading from OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard to OS High Sierra, to minimise any unforeseen problems.

Thanks again for the help.

Kind regards

Graham
